One International Sports Federation observed a serious gap in the knowledge of players, coaches and managers regarding anti-doping rules.
Those attending sporting events were unfamiliar with the procedures involved in doping controls, sampling rules, the rights and responsibilities of the athlete, and the risks associated with the use of supplements.
The lack of accessible, understandable educational material and clear communication hindered effective prevention and increased the risk of unknowing violations.
In response to an identified gap in the knowledge of athletes, coaches and managers about anti-doping regulations, SkillTechTalent - with the advisory support of WADA and POLADA - carried out a project to implement a comprehensive education system and communication tools.
The aim of the activities was to:
Raise awareness and responsibility among participants in sporting competition,
Ensuring compliance with WADA regulations,
Professionalisation of anti-doping documentation and communication,
Increasing the organisation's transparency on the international stage.
In response to this challenge, education and communication activities were to enable the Federation to implement tools that meet the highest international standards of compliance and fair play.
